Plan a Visit

It can take courage to visit a church for the first time. Thanks for thinking about it. Below are answers to some of the questions you might have about coming along.

If you have any others please let us know.

We have new people visiting with us all the time and hope you will join us soon too!

What time do things start?

Our morning gathering starts at 11am, doors open at 10.30am.

Our evening gathering is at 7pm, doors open at 6.30pm.

How long does each gathering last?

Both our morning and evening gatherings last for around one hour (sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less).

What happens during a church gathering?

We gather together to meet with each other and with God.

We talk to God, sing to God, read about God and hear from God through a Bible talk.

The music is uplifting, the Bible talks connect with real life, and the people are warm and welcoming.

We are convinced that if you join us for church, you will leave glad that you came along.

What is there for my kids?

Crèche

During our 11am gathering Crèche runs for babies, toddlers & pre-pre-school aged children in our beautiful and well resourced crèche room.

We have wonderful team of volunteers who will take care of your children, so you can relax and enjoy being in church.

You can leave your children to creche before the service begins or take them out at any stage during the service.

We really love having babies and children in our church family - their shouts, cries and noises fill us with joy so don’t worry if your children aren’t the quiet type - they will fit right in.

Shine Kids Club

Shine Kids Club runs during the morning service for pre-school to P6 children.

At Shine children sing, play games, pray, make amazing crafts and hear true stories from the Bible in a way they enjoy and can relate to.

Shine children should come into the main 11am service with their parents, and leave for Shine with their leaders during the second song (they will be reminded when to go). Parents should collect Shine children from the church halls promptly after the service ends.

Forged Youth Group

Forged Youth Group runs during the morning service for young people in P7 - 2nd Form (year 9).

Through games and activities Young people explore what the Bible says about the big issues they are facing in school, at home and in their lives.

Young people coming to Forged should come in to the main 11am service with their parents and leave for Forged after the third song (they will be reminded when to go).

Parents should collect their young people from the church halls promptly after the service ends.

Young People

Young people who are in 3rd form and up are encouraged to stay in the whole church service. To help young people get the most out of it, we recommend that they download, print and use the recourse found here. If a young person who is in 3rd form would prefer to join with the Forged group, this can be arranged.

Is there a dress code?

No, please come as you feel comfortable. We are a relaxed group of people.  Some people wear jeans and t-shirts, others dress smarter.  We don't think what you wear on the outside is nearly as important as who you are inside. Whatever you wear, we’ll be glad to see you.

Will I be asked for money?

Nope!

Will I need to kneel, or read out loud or anything like that?

No kneeling or reading out loud, but we will encourage you pray silently as someone leads us, to sing along with the band as they lead us in praise, and to listen to the Bible being read and explained… but if you would rather simply sit and observe what’s going on that’s fine by us too. We’re convinced though, that if you join us, you will leave uplifted, encouraged, challenged and glad you did.

Where is the Church located?

Our address is: 244 Ravenhill Road, Belfast, BT6 8EF.

Where do I park?

There is no on-site parking, but you can easily get a space in streets surrounding our building.

Got other questions?
