This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

1 John 5:14

We believe that praying together is vital for the life and health of our congregation, community and world.

Corporate Prayer Times

We meet to pray together on the first and third Wednesday of every month and would love you to be there!

Praying together is for everyone

- You won't be asked to pray out loud.

Praying at Home

Depending

Pray for increasing dependence on God’s sufficient grace – Ask that God would help us trust him to provide for everything he wants our congregation to do.

Pray for increasing acknowledgement of weaknesses – Ask God to help us honestly address areas of church life that are not strong.

Pray for decreasing dependence on our own strength – Ask God to help our congregation not to trust in its own gifts, skills, talents and abilities when serving Christ.

Pray for growing experience of Christ’s power at work as we increasingly depend on him – Ask God for growing confidence that he is at work despite our weaknesses and frustrations.

Wisdom

Pray that God would give us wisdom – Ask for God’s leading in these often bewildering times of challenge and change for the church.

Pray that we would depend upon God’s wisdom – Ask that God would guide those who lead in our congregation in the decisions they have to make.

Pray that we would trust God’s wisdom – Ask God that we would be united in trusting his ways, even when they aren’t easy for us or popular with others.

Pray that we would follow God’s ways – Ask that we would not shrink back from following his ways because of doubt or fear.

Working

Pray for those who feel weary in the work of the Lord – Ask God to give renewed strength and to revive enthusiasm where it is flagging.

Pray that we would trust God’s timing – Ask God for patience when we cannot see immediate results in our work for him.

Pray that we would know how to reap a harvest – Ask God for wisdom in presenting his good news in Jesus with grace and truth.

Pray that we would not give up – Ask God for perseverance when we feel discouraged in our work for him.

Growing

Pray for growing depth –  Ask God to help us sink deep roots in Christ in an increasingly shallow world.

Pray for growing love –  Ask God that we would have a warm grasp of the love of God in an increasingly cold and distant world.

Pray for growing power – Ask that the power of God would be at work in and through us in an increasingly apathetic world.

Pray for growing togetherness – Ask God for unity and oneness in our church life in an increasingly fragmented world

Connections

Pray for others – Ask God to help us to build contact with those in our local community who are not yet members of our church.

Pray for contacts – Ask God to help us journey with those with whom we have contact, but who do not yet believe.

Pray for community – Ask God that our church might be a place in which newcomers can quickly feel they belong.

Pray for visibility – Ask God that all around would see our church as a visible witness to the difference knowing him brings.

Encouraging

Pray that we would find and develop ways of supporting and helping one another – Ask God to help us deepen relationships with one another.

Pray for commitment to worshipping and building community together – Ask God to help us prioritise meeting with him and others in an increasingly time-pressed world.

Pray for a growing spirit of encouragement – Ask God to help us build one another up and take courage for our journeys of faith.

Pray that we would increasingly live in the light of the glory of Christ’s return – Ask God to help us live better in the present because of our vision of God’s promised future.
