Shine Team
Introducing Shine
Shine runs in the church halls during our Sunday morning service. During Shine children from pre-school to primary seven learn about Jesus through bible stories, games, songs, activities and more.
A Brief Outline Of A Shine Morning
Gathered together
At the beginning of Shine all children gather together and are introduced to the bible story and big idea of the morning. Children might also sing together and play a game.
Split Into Groups
After gathering together children split into age appropriate groups with an adult leader and assistant. In their groups they explore the Bible story and big idea again in a different way, complete a craft and play games that all tie in with the big idea and Bible story.
What Preparation Is Needed?
Shine operates in teams. One month before a team is scheduled to lead shine they will meet for one evening to plan the session. This means that everyone has a clear idea of their role and jobs, and has appropriate time to prepare for Shine. Working as a team also means that everyone can work to their strengths.

A Shine team leads for 4 week and has a 12 week break.
